3D-scanning

In general 3D-scanning can be described as the process of analyzing a real-world object or environment to collect data on its shape and possibly its appearance (e.g. colour). The collected data can then be used to construct digital 3D models. For an introductionmovie have a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG8gDXeTDHM

There are many applications in which the use of a 3D-scanner is a suitable solution:
– capturing the shape of existing hulls in case there are no drawings;
available;
– checking the alignement of hulls and/or other constructions after repair or damage;
– capturing the dimensions and layout of areas and spaces like tanks, enginerooms, pumprooms, pipingsystems e.d.

To get an impression of the possibilities we refer to the projects in our website.
